Reflection #6

Reading the papers for Thursday were very interesting, and my favorite part about it was the legibility. A lot of the time, when official research papers are written, they are written in language that is not the easiest to read. These papers use a language that only a well educated person could read, limiting the amount of people that could read the information given. This paper that we just read was written well and it was written in a way that most anyone could read it. I believe that crucial information shouldn't be written in a difficult way. Of course, some papers do not have to be written in such a way, such as government papers like laws and executive orders, however, information that could benefit others should. The reason I believe this way, is that many people haven't had the opportunity to get a higher education, and are therefore held back. Fewer barriers to information ensures that the public is able to educate themselves which leads to a more informed populace. One of the most common barriers to vital information such as is contained in these papers is the overly complicated language.
